I was always irritated after scrolling social media
here is the advice my Therapist gave me
LET’S GROW
During a recent therapy session, I shared how I feel that I get triggered very easily by stuff that isn’t that important to me when I’m scrolling social media.
It didn’t make sense to me how these insignificant things could send my brain down a rabbit hole and sour my mood all the time.
The first thing he did was raise both of his hands in the air – which always aggravates me, because I know exactly what he is about to do. One hand represents the things that are within our control and the other hand represents the things that are outside of our control. He then takes the “can’t control” hand and tosses it to the side. By now, I know this means:, “If it’s outside of your control, let it go so you can focus on what IS within your control”. I get aggravated when he does this, because I know it means that
