Last week I wrote about how to love yourself – and how love is an action and not just a feeling. If you would like to read that post, here's the link for that. 

Today I'm reporting back to say that it really does work. I started playing guitar like I've always wanted to. I got into the kitchen with my roommate and we made some delicious food to nourish our bodies. Most importantly, when I slipped into negative thought patterns I would not allow them to take hold. I would redirect them. It really put me in a better place.

This week I'm working on feeling emotionally drained. With everything going on in the world, that's not an unusual thing to feel – but there are things within my control. It is partially my fault for how drained I feel, so I'm going to focus on the reasons I feel drained that are within my control.

Here is what I am letting go of to create emotional space for myself.
