I found some techniques to help
LET’S GROW
If you are in a similar place as me, you are probably feeling a bit of Analysis Paralysis. You want to make a change, but have spent so much time thinking about it that you do nothing.
Do you have so many ideas you do none? |
I found this video that teaches three techniques that may help. Let’s go over the three techniques. I will post my answers to these questions in the Besties section, so if you’d like to support me, as well as join our community, make sure you upgrade!
Gravestone technique questions
What would you like written on your gravestone?
What do you think people might say at your funeral?
What do you want written on your Wikipedia page?
These questions help put front and center both the things that are important to you and how you want to be perceived. You can then create a plan to make those happen.
The Odyssey plan questions
What would my life look like if I continued down the path I’m on?
What would my life look like if I took a different path?
What would it look like if money were no object and the opinions of others did not matter?
The first question highlights where you are headed. The second highlights where you’d like to go. The third makes sure those desires are based on what YOU want, not others.
The ideal ordinary week
Here we fast forward our lives to a few years in the future and write out our ideal week. Time block it out in a way that works for you. After doing this, ask yourself.
What are the barriers stopping me from getting there?
This brings the logical and tangible steps front and center, allowing you to make an actionable plan.
This is the schedule I came up with!
Don’t rush this process. It will take however long it takes, but you can do it. If you want to answer this with me, go ahead and respond to this newsletter. Just keep swimming and I’ll swim with you. Also if you want to hear my answers - become a Bestie!
